Summer Forecast – Boise Hunter Homes Relocation Guide
Each of our communities is tailored to a lifestyle that makes the most of Boise throughout the seasons. For the summer edition, we’ll focus on things to do near Harris North, our luxurious community in the Southeast Boise Foothills. And dare I say, the ideal launching point for your best summer yet.
Let’s dive in.
Ride Foothills Trails & Visit Boise’s Favorite Fishing Spots
There’s no shortage of biking, hiking, and fishing spots to find across the Treasure Valley. The Harris North Community connects directly to the Ridge to Rivers trail system, which includes over 190 miles of scenic trails throughout the Boise Foothills. For a more leisurely stroll, the Boise Greenbelt, only minutes from the community, offers 25 miles of pristine, tree-lined pathways along the river. The Boise River is perfect for fishing, full of rainbow trout, brown trout, and even Chinook salmon in the summer months.
Check out the Alltrails app to find hikes or download Fishbrain to identify local hotspots along the river.

Can’t Miss Summer Events
Summer carries a vibe in the Treasure Valley, with music, art, and activity abound. Here are some of our favorite events happening in Boise’s southeast corner:
- The Boise River Float opens on June 20th and lasts until Labor Day. Shuttles run between Barber Park (start point) to Ann Morrison Park (finish point) for convenience. The popular float path covers six miles of terrain with rope swings, bridges, scenery, and lots to see (including the float crowd).Â
- Fireworks and freedom are serious endeavors to Boiseans. Each year on July 4th, Boise, Meridian, Garden City, Nampa, and cities in neighboring counties let the sparks fly in a spectacular fireworks display. Download the relocation guide at the bottom of this article for the complete list!
- Every five years, the Boise Basque community hosts one of the largest Basque festivals in the country. Starting July 26th is a mix of events from sports, history, games, dancing, block parties, and exhibitions in partnership with local businesses.
